What Is NACE Health Pro

The Republic of Indonesia has embarked on a significant project to improve the level of competence of students graduating in the health professions. With the support of a loan from the World Bank, the project titled Health Professions Education Quality (HPEQ) was initiated in early 2010. One component of the HPEQ project is to introduce national competence-based examinations for graduating students in the professions of medicine, dentistry, nursing and midwifery. Students who pass the examinations will be issued a Certificate of Competence, which will be required prior to being registered and licensed as an independent practitioner. These examinations will be developed by the National Agency for Competence Examinations for Health Professionals (NACEHealthPro).
